Do. Not. Miss. This. Stunning Beach, well worth the tramp in there. We swam nude as no one else was there. We had the perfect conditions to visit.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful, little-visited beach. The way to the beach is challenging, but doable with a little time. Even with children. Ideally just before low tide to the beach and then back in time. (Original) Herrlicher, wenig besuchter Strand.

(Translated by Google) Beach not to be missed! Indeed, as many say watch out for the tide. Just look at the tide times before the walk. We expect a low tide at 2pm and a high tide at 8pm. We crossed the arm of the sea without problem around 1pm. You will have to put your feet in the water up to your ankles. (The return around 6pm was not a problem, always a crossing of the arm of the sea with water up to the ankles.) Then the walk continues in rocks, it is easy to twist your ankle but be careful and with good shoes (not flip flops!) there is no problem. I advise you to walk as far as possible on your left, against the forest, there is a semblance of a path and it is easier in my opinion. (on the way back you keep to your right) then the path continues in the forest. I did not go up to the viewpoint. I went straight to the beach which is just beautiful. (count in all 20-25min) Plenty of room to be quiet in your corner with family or lovers. Shadows under the pohutukawa. For a picnic it's the dream! Easy to swim because you walk for a long time and given the violence of the waves it is safer. Be careful though for young children. The sea in Nz is not kidding... A real place of paradise not to be missed if you are in the area!! Last info: in case of rain (which we had on the way back) the path in the forest is extremely muddy and slippery. Fortunately, I fell without hurting myself. But I ended up muddy all over. In case of rain or just after I do not recommend. On the other hand, under the sun... do not hesitate to visit this paradise with turquoise blue waters! ;)
