        Lady Bowen is one of the few historical hotels in the area, we were surprised about how old it was and how amazingly everything is kept! The owners were really kind, we spent the evening in the common lounge filled with vintage furniture, chess, a piano and a pool! In the morning we had an excellent homemade breakfast, perfect fuel for the walks starting just 25 mins by car from there. Excellent position if you have to explore the walks in the Kauri forest.

        What to say, is an historic building with an interesting story. Tidy, clean and well take care of! The breakfast is amazing and beds are comfortable! Bike friendly! Barbara and Stu are great hosts!
