        Ataahua (beautiful) Marae (house) by beautiful iwi (People) who treat everyone like Whanau (family) no matter who you are, warm and inviting place to all who go there no matter what kaupapa (agenda) is happening there

        I lived in Karangahake , from 1967 to 1981. About 1970 , I helped Local Maori with starting up the Culture Group ,which we named " Te Reo o Paeroa"....that was a great experience ! Most rewarding were the smiles on little kids' faces , when such Announcements like " Te Reo o Paeroa , has WON ! " Take no notice of the Name at the top of the Page...'Eddie Maharg' is my Nom de Plume ! I am in fact , Bruce Graham, now living in Tauranga. I Note that Ada Kaa, is Te Pai o Hauraki , 'Contact Person.' I woud very much like to exchange Notes with Ms. Kaa, about past and present 'Kapa Haka' and othe Marae Activities. Tena Koutou Katoa, ka Pai to Ora ki 2022 ! Me te Aroha, Puruhi Kereama .

        Lovely spot. Just ashame that the "locals" of the Marae are entitled and make everyone whose meant to be welcome, feel unwelcome.
