My latest chemist visit wasn't good. I have to pickup medicine daily and I had picked up from here without problem before. Then on my last day of pickup on my way out of Tokoroa, things changed. I'm usually in and out but I waited for 45mins. One worker was continually apologetic while 1 left for the day and the other 2 didn't seem to care. I could not believe it. I had someone waiting in her vehicle and the travel to Wellington ahead of us. I had to tell one of the ladies to get the pharmacist out from his lunch in the office and give me my medicine so I could leave. I could not believe it.

Where to start..... rude, sneaky and just plain unprofessional at best, cruel, power tripping, and a danger to vulnerable people needing medication at worst. There has been zero duty of care here for years, and it's only getting worse. The monopoly of this pharmacy has meant that the pharmacists can act however they choose. I've recieved controlled medication newly prescribed with absolutely no information on what requirements would need to be observed or any possible side effects. I've also had autoimmune medication withheld for weeks at a time causing me to be hospitalized. Personal information is discussed loudly for all customers to hear. its a corrupt and horrible place to have to go. There are some staff that are truly amazing but they are not management so cannot change this toxic environment.
