Motuoapa Bay Holiday Park

This is a gem. Half way between Taupo and Tongariro without the hustle of the former. Very quiet, relaxing, peaceful and enjoyable. The park is old and outdated, but the facilities are impeccably clean and maintained. They all work, although it is a fine line between a hot and a cold shower. The kitchen provides wash cloths, pots/pans, dishwashing liquid and tea towels. Met a nice family from Wellington who we bonded with over three days and the kids became best friends. Without hesitation, I would stay here again. Thanks Chantelle and Sam.

This problem urgently needs to be fixed by the operators. Another negative point is the lack of space in the rain. There is only one table with four chairs, which is definitely not enough. Die sanitren Installationen sind sauber und die Kche hat auch alles was man braucht. In der Kche sind nur wenige Utensilien, ist aber ganz ok. Zwei Punkte sind leider nicht so angenehm. Der Wasserdruck in den Duschen ist schrecklich und die Wassertemperatur ist stark schwankend. Dieses Problem muss dringend von den Betreibern behoben werden. Ein weiterer negativer Punkt ist der Platzmangel bei Regen. Es gibt nur einen Tisch mit vier Sthlen, das ist definitiv zu wenig. Fazit: sehr sympathischer Ort mit leider Mngeln bei den Installationen.
