        Brilliant 2 hour uphill walk through native bush and about 15 minutes in exposed tundra. Beautiful views of Ruapehu, Tongariro, Tongariro river and lakes from the top.

        Amazing dog friendly walk. Really fantastic views at the top. The trail was beautiful from start to finish. Big climb to start, so get ready for a workout!

        Magic walk to above the tree line. Its a fairly steep climb straight from the carpark. NOTE the DOC sign indicates 3.3km to the bushline, its actually 4.5km to the trig itself. Lots of hunters accessing the hill country beyond
