Centennial House Taupo

We were delighted with our stay at Centennial House for a family reunion in the first week of 2023. We were 7 adults and 6 children so the spacious lounge and large, well-equipped kitchen were exactly what we needed. The bedrooms and en suites were modern and clean. The house is an 8 minute drive to Taupo centre which meant we could easily access its amenities and yet be well away from the frantic town centre at a busy period. And when it was wet, it was easy to play games together in the lounge or get away for some individual downtime. The garden is large and interesting and the outdoor BBQ and eating area was well used.

We searched for an accomadation that would cater for our big family of 24. The Centennial house was just perfect ! Even though it was cold outside we were so cosy inside with a the log burner roaring and heat pumps in each of the suites. Plenty of room and privacy for all of us. Well equipped kitchen for a good ol fashion family roast dinner. John and Caroline are fantastic hosts, nothing is too much trouble. They spoilt us with 2 smoked trout caught by himself, wine, chocolate only to mention a few. We really recommend Centennial House for any special occasion. Thank you.

If you have a larger group and want a quiet yet comfortable spot - this place is almost impossible to beat. We required to be located out of town and be able to host a group for meals of around 20 people at our accomodation. This place ticks all the boxes. Rooms are super quiet with fantastic bathrooms, kitchen and lounge room facilities. Many thanks Neil
