Drove 45 minutes to take the kids to the cinema for the holidays. Phoned in advance to be told they don't take bookings. Stood in the queue in the rain for 25 minutes to be told the movie we wanted to see was sold out. Very disappointing and a waste of time. The old man working there was rude and turned his back on us and just walked away. Try to support the closest local cinema but clearly a waste of time.

A quirky old school Whangamata cinema... could even hear the odd jaffa rolling down the aisle. Cinema features a big screen and sound quality was OK too. Worth checking out.
