Beach is nice but be careful swimming. Often a strong pull, sometimes a sharp drop off in the water. Track has one awkward part. Can be slippery when wet.

Beautiful beach however swimming is treacherous with rapid drop off, sand bars and powerful dumping waves that come in much quicker succession than other beaches in the area on the same day. Strong current as well. Two of our group needed help from others to get back to shore after swallowing water from waves. BE CAREFUL PLEASE! Climb/track down is very challenging in the best conditions and you'll need to use your hands as well in a number of places. Any gear you want to take will need to be carried in a backpack rather than hand carried. Steep and narrow with lots of tree roots etc - if you have any mobility issues then give it a miss. Definitely wouldn't attempt in wet - a tumble off track would be serious/fatal. Takes about 10-15 to traverse. Access for last 5km is via a dirt/gravel road that is very steep in a few places that may see non 4WD vehicles struggle. All said its a stunning beach that is worth the effort of you are up to it.
