Although Driving Creek Railway has been operating now for many years, I could not help but be hugely impressed by the legacy left by Barry Brickell. On our second last day in NZ (following 4 weeks touring around), we stumbled across DC Railway, and we're so glad we did. An incredible human effort, and highly recommended to anyone seeking a unique experience. You'll learn so much! And the DC Railway needs every support it can get from the public to secure its future operation.

(Translated by Google) Nice project by local potter who built a train track uphill. Especially fun for smaller children. Along the way you can see art, reinforcement of the ground by means of beer bottles and kauri trees. Nice view once you get to the top.
