Canoe and Kayak Taupo

We made a first reservation on the internet. We received a cancellation email about 4 hours before the start of the expedition due to high winds. When we went there, we were told that there was no guide anyway (how is that possible??) but we were offered to book for another day, which we did. The second time, we arrived at 8:30 am in front of the store which was closed for the Christmas vacations. But we were 7 to wait with reservations so we didn't worry about it. After more than an hour of waiting, we sent an email. Answer one hour later: they had forgotten to warn us that the expedition was cancelled for high winds. You might as well say that they had forgotten to tell us that they were on vacation. Because of that we almost missed the carvings. I advise you to go to Taupo Kayaking Adventures who allowed us to rent kayaks the same day. For them, no worries of "strong wind".

The supplies were wet, the van we took was on it's last leg and the tour guide didn't even know the front passenger seatbelt was broken and tried to hide it. The guide cared more about his tour group looking better than others. The tea break had a tiny jar of milk for everyone to share so my tea was very bitter. The guide seemed very scatter brained. The lake taupo tour includes photos,the main reason I chose to book it over others. Well it's been over a month of me emailing to see when I will get photos (the guide took photos of us with the carvings so I have none) and kept getting told they're coming when the guide gets back but he's off sick. My last email went unanswered. I kept reminding them because I'm sure the guide thought he sent them and deleted them.
