Worst customer service experience in a long time. Car was booked into have noise in rear looked at.Suggested most likely brake pads,would look at and then ring to advise costs etc.Didnt hear anything so rung at 4 and told it was all good to pick up.When arrived had identified the problem but not fixed,even though car had been there since 8 am.The subsequent discussion was not helpful in terms of solving the problem,so paid for an hours work to diagnose problem and took unfixed car home.Previous experiences here,had been awesome. We unfortunately visited AA Taupo yesterday and were appalled at the lack of help we received. Due to electrical problems our car had managed to lock itself with the keys in the ignition. This happened after we had hit a pothole which required us to change a tyre. The weather was 6 degrees and raining heavily. Due to the problems with the car We could not access our phones and ring for help. Finally a wonderful lady stopped to help and we used her phone but could not get through to the Road side assist. She then drove us to AA Taupo who proved that compassion and empathy were not their strong points. We had no masks and they could not provide us with any. (Maybe a box could be made available for occasions such as ours) were asked to stand at the back of the showroom where there was no heating. We are all in our 70s and were wet through and shivering . Finally a phone was made available as they would not telephone Road Side Assist . We were then told to go back to the car and they wouldnt advise how long it would take as they dont communicate with the Road Side Assist driver. Goodness knows what we would have done Without the help of Our Good Samaritan who then drove us back to our car and finally the Roadside Assist driver arrived.
