My brother and sister in law hired this hall for her 80th birthday party, we have hired it once before and never had a problem, the hall and facilities are wonderful, we did this time however have a problem with the caretaker Chris Bell. When the hall was hired, we were informed there was no booking for the day after the function, and we could hand the keys back at 10am on Sunday the 3.1.2023. The night of the function Chris attended our function ( uninvited) and wandered around amongst our guests. My husband and I turned up at 8.15 am 3.1.2023 to start cleaning the hall, Chris was already there and carried on about the hall not being clean and treating both myself and my husband with the utmost disrespect, I said the deal was for keys to be returned by 10am, he then said he had a late last minute booking for 9am, I rang my brother and sister in law to come and help us clean, once they arrived the abuse continued. We cleaned the hall, when we left the hall was closed up and locked up, there was no function there that day, have photos for proof. We do not appreciate being abused and lied too.
