This was a delightful dinner experience. The service and food were both superb. We shared all of the dishes including calamari fritti (with a delicious seafood sauce), beef carpaccio (super thin with capers, Parmesan and a healthy dousing of high quality olive oil), the special risotto with marinara (this was a standout as it was a rich, perfectly cooked risotto witha good variety of seafood), polenta sticks, broccoli, and the absolutely fall apart beef cheeks (in a plentiful, rich jus that I loved). We finished it off witha tiramisu which probably just needed a bit more coffee. Overall we loved our visit!

First visit last night, the place felt a bit like a rustic Italian hunting lodge, very cool atmosphere. Welcomed immediately and special described really well, so well I went for one of them, the half duck, and so glad I did. I can only say it's possibly the best duck I've had for some time. Skin perfectly crispy, meat tender and moist, even the charred bits on the bone ends were crispy and not burnt. The veg was al dente and fully flavorsome and even the jus, the gravy, was wonderful with its tips of rosemary included. Stunning. $40 truly well spent...thank you so much. I'll travel from hawkes bay to eat this again!
