Thermalframe - Head Office

Summary: Install delayed by 3 months then 4 and half years later discovered they had created a leak that I had to fix myself. Detail: We paid our deposit in Feb 2014 and were given a May install date. This kept moving until August 2014. In 2019 we noticed a musty smell so lifted the carpet to discover mould. I took gib board off wall to investigate and discovered that the way Thermalframe had installed the windows was directing rain water into the room. I called Thermalframe, the owner took a look and agreed the install was incorrect but the fix was relatively easy and would not require removal of windows. He offered to send someone the following day but the times when I was home didn't suit him so he said he'd call. 4 weeks went by and I'd heard nothing. Disappointing as the incorrect install also affected the kids rooms. I didn't want to chase up to that point as he mentioned he was dealing with a close family member with cancer. I left him a voicemail and he texted that he would call but never did. With no fix in sight I did the work myself as I have some diy experience. This took 19 hours. When I finally spoke to the owner I asked him for a contribution to the costs of materials (about $160) and time and he became resistant and argumentative. Avoid.

Can't comment on their product or installation but their sales team is pretty useless . Never got back to me with a quote despite weeks of chasing. Gave up and went with another company in the end

I also requested a quote booking online in approx August being impressed with their products in the showroom, hoping to have work done to coincide with wider renovations. Their website advised due to demand I may need to wait 6 weeks. I've never heard back which is a nuisance after waiting
