We moved from Sydney, Australia, to Wellington. Transworld were excellent, keeping us up to date on the arrival times and process through customs. They had a problem with a truck on delivery day, but quickly put plan B into place and we had all of 154 boxes delivered on the day as planned. They also came back 3 weeks later and picked up all the flattened boxes and packing material. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Note that most positive reviews mention John who left the company in December 2022. Samantha who is now there is just useless - non communicative, often has no idea about the removals business as that's not her background - even the packing team told me how useless she was at being the office and removals manager. I constantly had to chase up our move even to the day before packing started to check they were coming as I had no confirmation. After a week or so of packing our house and holding our stuff in their unit she announced the shipping rates had gone up by about a third and we'd have to pay much more to ship our goods to the UK. She said they'd known this since 2 months prior - but on no occasion were we told before packing! We could have reduced the volume of goods by only taking sentimental items and selling basic household goods. On the end to afford it we had to leave behind our car as they said we couldn't get back in to their unit to unpack our own goods to reduce the quantity! So they basically held us hostage for our own effects and nearly bankrupt us totally unnecessarily. There is a lot to be said for good customer service and communication and this company fails on every front. Do not be fooled by good reviews in past - that manager John is no longer with this company and you will not get that same service!! Avoid like the plague.

It's a shame Google doesn't give you a million stars otherwise that's what I'd give this team. All of my dealings through Gillian and Wendy on the administration fronts have keen so kind, so full of compassion and willingness to help. And as for Pati and Kurt. Well. I don't know what to say. If you wrap them up in kindness, professionalism, humour, also compassion, speed and care it goes a little way to describe how much of an impact they made on me. Not are they the only removalists in the Guiness Book of Records to arrive early, but they carried out their jobs with haste, respect for myself and my belongings and deserve a raise. They even handled tears! Mine. Not theirs. My belongings were in storage for well over two years in Australia and here and everything arrived as it was packed. If you want the above from a transportation company (the tears of joy/being moved - no pun intended, are optional) I suggest you look no further. Thank you from the bottom of my exceptionally big heart. Kurt and Pati, you are both legends.

The Transworld team are the best!. Our furniture was in storage for months while we decided where to live in NZ, plus we added items to the original haul a couple of times and then shared a shipping container with another group to save costs. Over 250 items in the end and not a single thing was damaged or missing on arrival! Passed Customs and an MPI inspection with flying colours due to the excellent packing and labelling system of the Melbourne team. Couldn't believe it after hearing horror stories from friends who'd used other movers and lost everything. Samantha, Tim and the Wellington team were amazing, really helpful and kind. On the day our things arrived, a couple of the unpackers were unwell, so the boss threw on a polo and mucked in. Great stuff!. There was only one hiccup with the Aus office, to which I will only say - MB, if you don't like your job, get another one. Moving countries is so stressful, but Transworld get it. Highly recommend and would use again 100%
