Great place anytime of day or night for spectacular views of the Hutt & harbour. Gateway to plenty of biking n hiking.

Well. It's a must do spot to visit. I recommend walking the 100 m back up the hill to the seat for an even better view, and possibly also sheltered from some of the wind, depending on incoming direction. You can't access this lookout coming from the Hutt Valley side so be prepared to go all the way over the hill and come back. Worth it though.

Cool lookout on the Wainuiomata saddle that looks down on Lower Hutt, Petone, the Hutt River mouth, Matiu Somes Island and Wellington Harbour. There is a pedestrian and cycle bridge over the highway here which connects the many walking and cycle tracks in this area. There is also a couple of benches to sit and eat your lunch while enjoying the view.
