I have been going to Gain Momentum since the very first beginner class. I just love the atmosphere of a bit of hard work, fun and comradery. So many things to do with my body have improved and I am so much stronger and physically balanced. Linda is an absolutely first rate teacher and I am always amazed how well she knows and remembers everyone's different aches and pains. No class is ever the same so the chance of boredom is nil. I look forward to the days that I attend her class and always feel better for going. Also Odette's yoga classes are very enjoyable and relaxing. She too is a wonderful teacher. We are so lucky in the Wairarapa to have Gain Momentum here to help us with our "pre-habilitation"!

I have been going to Gain Momentum virtually since it opened. Apart from it being an enjoyable place to go and exercise, I have also learned three different types of exercise; Pilates; Yoga and Tai Chi. The three styles all provide different workouts depending on my needs. Linda is an excellent trainer and makes the classes fun - but she makes us all work too! The other trainers are all equally encouraging and friendly. Carterton is very lucky to have this facility available. Come and join us - you will never regret getting fit and strong as well as meeting nice people.

Im one of Lindas 1:1 clients at her studio in Park Road. Originally I approached a Linda as an overweight woman with problematic joints, desperately needing a fitness programme to keep me mobile. Linda has coached and cajoled me through a fitness programme which has been interrupted by three surgeries and subsequent recoveries. I am now well on my way to a slimmer, fitter me, and without Lindas coaching, support and encouragement I doubt that Id be where I am now. Thanks for all your help, Linda.

I have been a Client of Linda's for several years now, starting with private lessons, and adding in classes as I gained more self-confidence. As an overweight woman it has been lovely to be treated as someone who can and will exercise, rather than being treated as too stupid or lazy to do so. Lessons are never a "one size fits all" approach; instead Linda treats us as individuals and is flexible (Ha!) about what we need on any given day. I used Linda's Perinatal Pilates classes throughout a pregnancy (late in life), and during the first 9 months of my Son's life, and I believe it made a huge difference in my ability to cope with the pregnancy and the recovery from a C-Section. Unlike many other Pregnancy "fitness" classes, there was no judgement about birth choices or how I chose to raise my baby just support and kindness and a lot of laughter! Linda's classes are fun. You will definitely work hard -but you will have fun and you will feel better coming out of a lesson or class than you did going in. I only wish I had started earlier!

If you are wondering if Pilates can help you, then the answer is definitely yes - but only if you go to the right practitioner! So, why Gain Momentum? Why Linda Penlington? I have enjoyed both Lindas group classes and one-on-one sessions for many years. From the first moments of meeting Linda it is obvious that she not only cares about her clients, but that she has enormous, in-depth knowledge about Pilates and how our bodies work (or not!). For the past four years, I have been dealing with some pretty serious health issues. This has resulted in me experiencing some major drops in energy levels and some dramatic changes physically. I have been able to trust Linda totally and she has, on numerous occasions, restored me back to health (or as near as Ill get). Linda is approachable, accomodating, warm, friendly and has a great sense of humour. Nothing is too much trouble - you just have to ask. Linda will laugh with you and makes it safe for you to cry if you have to. I cant thank Linda enough for being there for me and for having the expertise (and importantly for keeping this current) to be able to make a difference. Go visit Linda, your body will thank you. Worth every penny.
