Featherston Cemetery holds over 100 WW1 Soldiers, so its a Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery.. Featherston had a Camp for training servicemen to fight in WW1. Many soldiers buried here, died of illness. suicide. accidents.. some had fought at Gallipoli returned home to NZ died in the Influenza outbreak in 1918. Am doing each soldiers history, family history, its so interesting.. they were from all over NZ and beyond..Cenotaph site with Auckland War memorial Museum hold a photograph of each soldiers grave, I sent them in some years back.
