Nice colour selection, pleasant staff but I wanted a proper manicure to make my poor sad nail look better. Now they just have nice colour but still have ragged cuticles and nails. $50 for gel is ok but not for just a paint job. SAD

I wish I had read the reviews first instead of just going in, however the normal salon I usually go to was shut. Anyways ,this is the worst experience I have ever experienced. This nail salon is horrible! The workers are so rude and inconsiderate! Went there to get SNS and to get my daughters nails done which was fine, but the worker had fully stuffed my nails up! They ended up being out of shape and corrected! When I complained about it, they said they could over redo them or I'd have to come back. I told them I didn't have time to come back, and I was going to wait another hour to get my nails redone as I had places to be, so I asked them for a refund they only gave me $20 of it back. I've been going to this place for 6 years. I once took my mum and aunt for a pedi both of them were in pain the next day as their feet were shaved to the skin. Regardless as I always just get a gel or dip I went back. I popped in today. There was 1 other person. So not busy. Ive had many dip nails removed. Its always been done fairly gently. Today OMG. The technician used an acrylic nail to POP the old dip off my nails. It was so painful! My nails are still throbbing. I am in absolute shock. She was also so rude to a young lady who walked in for a mani and clear polish. I will NEVER EVER go back here. And will actively advise anyone against going here. In addition she charged me the normal fee for removal. Disgusted Service: Dip powder

I had an absolutely terrible experience at Professional Nails in Porirua. The place was disgustingly unclean and unhygienic, with dirty towels, dead skin on the floors, and even nail clippings lying around. It made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. During my service, the woman who was attending to me seemed to be in a rush and was cutting another lady's extensions off while working on my nails. Her nails were flying in different directions, and she didn't even bother changing her gloves. To make matters worse, she was on her phone during the service, not paying any attention to what she was doing. It was extremely unprofessional and made me feel disrespected as a customer. When I returned to get my nails fixed, the same woman was extremely rude throughout the service, clearly unhappy about having to fix my nails. She spoke about me during the service to the other workers, which made me feel even more uncomfortable and embarrassed. To top it all off, my gel polish has already chipped off one finger, despite having just been done. It's clear that the quality of the service and products at this salon is subpar. As a loyal customer of years, I am deeply disappointed and disgusted by my experience at Professional Nails. I will not be returning and would strongly advise anyone looking for a professional and hygienic nail salon to avoid this place at all costs. Services: Manicure, Pedicure

Had a set of gel tips and nails yesterday at a cost of $78. Job very average. No cuticle care whatsoever. I was also horrified by the complete lack of hygiene which was non existent. Work stations were absolutely filthy. I was kind of glad my cuticles were not trimmed; none of the tools were cleaned between customers. Shame on you!!!! No Star rating by me Service: French manicures
