      • Jusus Almighty

        Amazing lodge/hut located in the remutaka park forest next to the orongorongo river. Great place for a quiet off grid get away or group weekend. Lots of surrounding walking tracks and the river is beautiful in the summer. If you're unfamiliar with this area and you visit in the winter, the river can rise extremely quickly in heavy rain as the dam gets opened to release excess water so stick to the high water tracks on the lodge side of the river.

        Great little lodge with lots of good short walks surrounding it. Great place to bring a group of people and book out a bunk room. Recommend bringing plenty lighting as the lights in the kitchen dont work. There are large cutlery, cooking utensils, plates and bowls provided. Make sure you write down your access key provided to on booking. There is access to the river down the bank, and there is a rope to support your climb down. Great space for a swim.
