An excellent use of shared public space and opportunity for people to get outdoors and learn gardening by doing. My son and I visit our own wee plot at least once a week, to weed and water and figure out the tricky needs of the plants we want to grow. The occasional working bee allows people to come together, share ideas, help each other tend their plots, swap seeds and produce, and enjoy some tea and biscuits. It's spring now as I write this and I'm looking forward to what this season has in store for this and all of Wellington's community gardens.
