Red Owl painters dropped us for other work at the 11th hour after wed approached them for help to rectify a painting defect on our house. Aaron visited our property and provided a quote. We were ready to start the next day and said I was keen to chat over a few things via phone before proceeding. The next thing I got was an email saying they couldnt proceed because other bigger jobs had come in. Super disappointing after you try to deal with someone in good faith but they dont have the respect / courtesy to deliver on their promise. Edit in response to Red Owls reply: Aaron on multiple occasions said they were light on workload and could start asap. In declining our work, no mention was made of incorrect preparation. We were open from the start about known existing painting defects and said we were more than happy to pay someone time & materials to fix. Aarons second last email was we have time available starting tomorrow. Several hours later we get the email in full we have just had a couple of big projects arrive and wont be able to proceed with the remedial work on your frames. All the best, Aaron. If indeed it was an issue with preparation, why not take the time to chat to someone via phone and explain as such versus blatantly lying and/or being deceptive via email. Im sorry but I cant endorse this business. Obviously others have had a better experience which is great to hear, but our experience was disappointing and disingenuous. Wishing others a better experience.
