I had Advanced Surface Ablation (PRK) eye surgery with Dr Hall and his team in July 2022. The entire process has been simple, reassuring and 100% worth it. It started with a pre-consultation with Dr Hall and his friendly team during which you are assessed for suitability and a 3D image is taken of your eyes. Its a quick and friendly visit which, if youre suitable, finishes with a date for the procedure. Due to the thinness of my cornea, I was suitable for PRK rather than the traditional LASIK. Dr Hall expertly explained the difference between the two methods and what I might experience after the procedure. On the actual day, Dr Hall was very reassuring and put my anxious mind at ease. He did not make me feel rushed but was happy to go at my pace and explained in detail what would be happening at each stage. The whole event took maybe 45 mins but that included a chat with Dr Hall, eye numbing, final measurement eye check and machine calibration, the actual laser event and then the recovery waiting time. The time spent under the laser was a couple minutes maximum. There is no pain Dr Hall makes sure to put enough eye numbing drops ahead of time. What you see during the procedure is like youre looking at colourful TV static the assistant counts down until the time is up and then Dr Hall washes out your eye. This is when the magic is revealed. Suddenly you can see so much more clearly than you could before the definition of the machine above your head is incredible like youre looking at life through an ultra-high def lens. The other eye is just as quick. You have a series of follow up appointments with Dr Hall at various stages in your recovery. He is incredibly thorough and kind and keeps you informed on your healing process and your visual improvements. The recovery wasnt too bad with PRK the recovery is slower than with LASIK so anticipate extra time off / lazy couch days if you are going down that route. Keep up with the eye drops that youre given they really help with the discomfort. You will be light sensitive and uncomfortable around day 3 but dont worry, it doesnt last!! Just go easy on yourself and have a lazy day keeping away from daylight as much as possible. Almost a year later and my vision is still just as wonderful even during night driving. Its been so wonderful not having to wear glasses everyday and being able to by as many cheap sunglasses as I fancy instead of relying on expensive prescription ones. I have absolutely no regrets going through this procedure! I can 100% recommend anyone who is tempted to just chat with Dr Hall and see if youre suitable and which procedure suits you the best. Just a side note you need to wait at least 3 months between giving birth and for your visual pregnancy changes, if there are any, to settle down. Thank you Dr Hall and team! F

I had LASIK surgery at Bowen Eye Clinic and everything went seamlessly. I felt completely looked after by Dr Hall and his staff on the surgery day and I was very impressed by the level of care in the months after the surgery. I love being glasses-free now and wished I got it done sooner! I highly recommend Bowen Eye Clinic if you are considering getting LASIK done.

Went for a free consult to see if Lasik was an option for me, left that appointment feeling very safe and taken care of so booked Lasik the same day. Dr Hall and the team were always great to deal with, appointments were always on time and run very smoothly. A few months later and eyesight is fantastic, haven't seen this clearly since I was a child. Highly highly recommend.

Had lens replacement surgery in both eyes. I found their staff skilled, professional, very freindly and informative. If you need your eyes seen to, go to Bowen Eye Clinic. I did!!
