NZ Post Shop Upper Hutt

I went to send a packet of tobacco to a friend in Auckland. The woman who "served" me thought tobacco was a prohibited product and could not be sent . So she went to ask a colleaque, they didn't know either. She looked it up and showed me the the policy statement on all the prohibited products. Tobacco and cigs not listed as prohibited. So I said its ok to send it. But she was not sure and started calling other colleaques somewhere else. After about another 20 minutes, while she was transferred and on hold, she said I could send it. While I put the address on the NZ Post Office package envelope, she put me on another counter and served another customer. She left me for another 10 minutes. Waiting for her to finish. Very poor customer service. Not a good experience. I kept telling her tobacco is not listed as prohibited in the NZPO policy statement that she showed me so you can make the decision to send it, but she was not convinced...and I spent over 35 minutes waiting while she checked with up to 4 other people, to send a $5.20 parcel to Auckland.

I've been going to this Post Shop for over five years now and always found them to be fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful, and more than once, they've gone WAY above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you, team- keep up the SPECTACULAR service!
