The roads in Masterton are bad, I've been to 3rd world countries with roads in better condition.

The most camper- friendly and welcoming town ever with beautiful facilities. Thank you for the super clean, bright, fabulous amenities at the reserve. What a surprise finding a place like this to stay right by the lake and even dogs are welcome if youve got one. The geese and ducks were so hard case. I love it here. And the town is great for shopping. All other district councillors around NZ need to come here to see how its done.

Came into the MDC to ask about rural waterways. Teller didn't have a clue. I had to tell her what dept might be able to answer my query. Apparently there is only ONE staff member who deals with this. Said person was "in the office but not answering his phone". Appalling!!! The teller didn't know if the office where this staff member is situated was "open to the public". Start caring about your waterways MDC - you expect everyone else too!!! Also, train up your tellers....
