We chose Gary Pickering Funerals for our Dad on the morning he passed away. The funeral home and chapel felt to be a very special place, a little bit up market with a touch of elegance, just right for our Dad. Caroline at Gary Pickering looked after us and our Dad. She is extremely lovely, kind, and compassionate. She assisted us in providing the very best funeral we could for our Dad. We felt very well taken care of, at a time when we were sleep-deprived and unable to think clearly. Thank you so much Caroline at Gary Pickering Funerals.

We were really pleased with the way my husbands funeral was done. From the the respectful way he was picked up from the house and the continual contact regarding the finer points for his funeral. Adelaide went the extra mile to ensure everything was right and we were happy at all times. My husband came home to us for a few days before his funeral and looked wonderful, so natural, like how we knew him. It was lovely to have him home so everyone to be able to say their goodbyes in our home and share quiet time with him. The venue and catering were perfect. This is the 2nd family funeral Gary and his associates have done for us, and on both occasions we have been totally satisfied with their service. We recommend the booklet Gary provides to plan your funeral, so helpful to have all the details ready when the funeral director arrives to sort out the funeral. Highly recommend Gary Pickering Funerals.

i recently made enquiries regarding making arrangements for my husband Paul's funeral, as he was terminally ill. When I talked with Caroline, she was wonderful, honest, caring and most of all gave me straight answers to my many questions. I was on a tight budget, so it meant we were wanting to take on some of the work ourselves, which was totally ok with Caroline and Gary, they went out of their way to make our life easier, yet still were always very professional at all times. One of my requests was to have everybody dress in funny t shirts and jeans, one way to celebrate pauls quirky sense of humour, well they too got in on it and got t shirts made for the occasion, just fantastic, made my day, they made me feel as if they were part of it all, it meant a lot to me that they went the extra mile, well done !!!!!!! You have made it easier to say goodbye to my beloved, and have given me many happy memories. Nothing was a problem for them, and everything went so well on the day when it mattered, they never rushed us, but were always there in the background if needed, Caroline even gave us a toot when she drove off, was like Paul saying hooray. I would have no problem recommending them at all, they are simply the best in this business !!!!!!!! I wish them well for the future. Elena Needham.

Gary did my husband's funeral in 2014. My husband did not leave plans for what he wanted and Gary guided us through the process with ease. Mark had a military funeral and it meant liasing with the Army and trips back and forward to Linton. Gary's part was done to perfection. My husband passed away after a long illness and when he came home to rest with us he looked wonderful, just like he was before and very at peace. My boys and I were pleased with the service he provided and we highly recommend Gary to everyone. He has a lovely manner and we enjoyed having a cuppa and a few laughs with him at this difficult time.

My huge appreciation and thanks to Gary and Adelaide for making my Mums - Betty Greathead funeral such a wonderful memory for us. Mum and I visited Gary when he first started in business and discussed our funeral plan which gave me confidence that Mums wishes were being met. Gary visited me each year with a calendar which was a lovely way to keep in touch. We visited Gary again when Mum turned 98 and we suggested a Natural Burial at Clareville Cemetery which fitted with Mums values of being kind to nature with no pollutants entering the environment. We held the service at St Marks Church where Rev Andy Elred and Rev Jenny Henson officiated a heartfelt service in this beautiful church and Peter Totman played the organ wonderfully. Thank you to Gary and his staff, and everyone at St Marks Church for making this sad and overwhelming occasion into a beautiful and spiritual memory for our family and friends.
