        One of the worst teaching councils in the world. They make it impossible for overseas teachers to maintain their registration. I had one school in Auckland just desperate for me to start but this teaching council couldn't care that there is a massive teacher shortage in the country, as long as they are ticking their made up boxes then everything is all good. It is actually easier to just cancel your teacher registration and start again, but you must be willing to wait 6-12 months. They just don't care!

        As an Oversea teacher, it's a nightmare to apply for them.. Basically, you pay 1000$ to wait half a year. Each time I call, I wait over 30min to get unclear different informations each time. They have absolutely no plans or ideas when it comes to relief teaching. It's very sad. NZ is in need of teachers and the bureaucracy keeps digging the problem deeper. It's a shame...

      image One of the worst teaching councils in the world. They make it impossible for overseas teachers to maintain their registration.
