Have been coming to Shine for years and love the team + quality work they do. Have been regularly visiting Stu for the last few years and am always delighted with his work - I feel very lucky to have found such a great salon. Would definitely recommend to others.

Extremely disappointed. My hair was highlighted by Stu a year ago and it is still recovering and no the red has never washed out! I went in to have some blonde put in to match my baliage mid lengths and the toner chosen was red! I was in tears. He then tried to remove it and failed to, saying it would wash out after a few shampoos. It is now 15 months later and the red still persists. My hair broke off around the front as the bleach was left on too long and under heat. When I called a couple of days later I was told that I chose the toner. I would never choose to have a red result that didnt remotely resemble blonde. No empathy shown. Although the owner was lovely and gave my money back. Terrible experience Service: Hair highlighting

April has looked after my hair for 4 yrs now and I can say that it is always a pleasure to see her. She really listens to what your issues are with your hair, comes up with great ideas and always encourages my feeds back. We exchange recommendations around books to read and share good food and travel ideas all while having my hair expertly cut and styled. It is clear that others in the salon are having the same close attention and fun conversations. I always leave feeling and looking great!! Highly recommend. Service: Hairstyling

I had the best experience in this salon! I did my hair with Jade a couple of days ago and I couldn't be more in love with the results! I had a balayage done and everything, from the hair treatment to the colour chosen were perfect. I couldn't recommend Jade more and I will definitely come back again. Ive been getting my hair cut by Stu for about 3 years now after having Shine recommended to me by a workmate. He really understands the meaning of the word trim and has helped me grow my hair out (something Ive never been able to do before as theyd always cut a lot off). I also had a really bad haircut all the way back in 2013 that had resulted in my hair shape being odd for literally years and he has helped it sit normal again. On top of his magical hairdressing skills, hes also one of the nicest people - very positive, chatty and always kind and helpful when I have questions. The team at Shine generally are all very friendly and easy to talk to - its such a lovely vibe in there. Its also so nice having a small hairdressers close to the water and I really enjoy the chill, quiet atmosphere in the location - little slice of heaven tucked away in the city.
