Mercure Wellington Central City - Hotel & Apartments

Im very torn about this hotel, the location and staff were 5 stars but the hotel is very dated. My shower handle broke and they were very quick to fix it. Unlike other reviews, my room was serviced daily and they did a good job. There were scuff marks on the walls throughout and the decor was poor, my windows were filthy and it was loud but this is expected with the location so close to restaurants and bars. There was no waiting around for the lifts which can be a problem in smaller places. The features include a restaurant but it was no where to be found. I would stay here again, but it would have to be at a discounted price. Walkability: Close to so many great bars and restaurants and buses.

Disappointing. Firstly there is no parking on site as advertised its at the other Mercure which isnt far but still inconvenient. Our room was old with bleach stains on the carpet, a hole in the shower wall and stupidly the TV was behind a wardrobe so you couldnt pivot it to watch it in Bed if you wanted to. So I asked to be move which was marginally better but looking straight a scaffolding and we were woken early buy the construction workers, I definitely wont be staying here again!
