The woman who answered on the phone is extremely rude. You really want to join with someone like that ridiculous. Hard to say her name. Another one though is extremely nice so unsure the criteria how they hire people

The PSA tries hard to project itself as a union that assists workers who are their members. This is not really the fact. They sell themselves well to increase their membership to earn more money. But when it comes to crunch situations like pay negotiations and/or looking at major policy issues, they finally side with the management. So in a way they seem to be hand in glove with the management at a higher level, as most of the time management views are endorsed by this association bosses with only cosmetic changes made to passify its large membership base. Having seen them from close quarters for a fairly long time it is my view that unless one is a totally underconfident person who cannot speak up for ones own self, there is just no need to be a part of this association. You will unnecessarily be blowing up money in the form of monthly fees which you can actually put to better use elsewhere. They are in a way a toothless tiger with hardly any setup really listening to them.
