Barry and Sargent Optometrists

Hi All. I had a bad experience with Natalie Wong the Director. She thought she was better then me when I went in to the shop with my son he needed prescription glasses. She did not listen to my requests and tried to make the whole process very expensive. The cost of the glasses was much more than other companies. I ended up going to spec savers. They where helpful, easy to deal with. Also much cheaper I ended up getting two pairs of glasses for an extra $10. Stay away from this business with hidden costs.

Had an appointment with Marama, who was incredibly helpful and thorough with my initial appointment. Came out with a lens prescription & was also helped out with finding frames in the store, which was super helpful for me. Thanks team!

I cant speak highly enough of the team at Barry and Sargent. They had more expertise than anyone we had seen before, and came up with solutions for my daughter that had never even been considered by other optometrists. Add to that some great customer service and youve got the whole package. If you want the best, then Barry and Sargent are it as far as Im concerned.

A family member was suffering with long term severe and debilitating symptoms and loss of cognitive function following a head injury (TBi or unresolving post concussion syndrome). Richard Shanks has been absolutely outstanding in identifying the neuro vision issues (that the neurologist couldn't) and putting together an effective treatment plan. Which has made an incredible difference after a long time of suffering. We highly recommend Richard Shanks Optometrist - if you'd had a TBi & sequelae of symtoms like nausea, visual disturbances, ataxia, sleep disturbances, convergence insufficiency, extreme exhaustion etc, etc - do yourself a favour and see Richard Shanks. He knows his stuff and his treatment has been a lifeline. It's well worth the money for the assessment, wish we'd known about Richard Shanks sooner. Hence my review for those suffering with an Unresolving TBi or Post Concussion Syndrome.
