Staten Eatery

Hmmm... Honestly? I'm confused. Recent reviews have scored pretty high but our experience tonight was totally lack lustre and overpriced. The service was where I put one star - our waiter was reasonably attentive and pleasant. The other star was for the mere existence of the place and the fact they were able to accommodate us on a busy Friday night. We both ordered a couple of drinks and burgers (which come with fries) and fried calamari to share. The calamari was tender and served with tasty condiments. Not bad. However, my partner took a bite of his burger and couldn't continue. The rest of the patty went untouched. I managed to make better headway on mine but, frankly, you could get a better burger in a chip shop (for half the price).

The Staten staff are absolutely amazing. They allowed our beloved doggy into the restaurant and whipped up an amazing meal for him. Our food was not only aesthetically pleasing but served hot and was complete delightful.

What silly opening hours. Doors were open and still got turned away. Need bigger opening and closing sign. Why close at 9.30am? Such a prime location for brunch. Waste of space.

Incredible food and service. I took my fiance here for his birthday and we had a great time. We sat by the window too and it was nice to watch the city life outside.

Amazing service even when under time constraints we got food and drinks very promptly . Lovely space and great accessibility coming up the ramp through the hotel.
