Steeper than expected but we'll maintained and a great way to get up onto the Ridge quickly & easily. Keep an ear out, apparently there's some guy who sings like an angel up here...

This is the Muritai Park entrance to the Kaeaea and Muritai tracks that lead up to the Eastbourne view point at the Kaeaea Track summit on the ridge above Eastbourne. The entrance can be found by a yellow sign on a power pole on the road. The tracks here lead to the Butterfly creek and McKenzie Road tracks along the ridge line above Eastbourne.

Very nice walk. It goes all the way the hill via two different tracks: walking and tramping. Both easy. From the top you can go back to McKenzie rd or down in butterfly creek valley.
