100 & 1 garden and house plants

Lovely old school plant nursery. Was pretty small and rustic compared with some larger chain store garden centres but that added to its charm and the staff were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I liked the fact that their outdoor plants were being grown in fully exposed conditions rather than under awnings, so that the plants - which all looked incredibly healthy and well cared for - have an excellent chance of surviving in your home garden. Paths were gravel and inside a bit tight for easily accessible manoeuvring but fine for wheelchairs despite. Must be considered a centre of regional excellence for Hoya plants, with the biggest collection of varieties I have seen in the lower north island. On the day we visited the team allowed us to shelter from the rain for over half an hour after our purchase before our taxi returned, meanwhile offered to repot our purchased plants into the new pots we had bought (completely free of charge), signed us up to their loyalty programme, and then carried our plants out to our vehicle. Would definitely recommend to anyone who believes in the importance of good service and plant knowledge In a plant nursery.

Amazing selection Hoya plants. Very friendly and helpful staff even carried out plants out to car and held umbrella so we wouldnt get wet. I recommend this garden centre

Visited today. Beautiful garden center, and fantastic service. Thanks so much for your help with finding plants and answering my many questions. Very fairly priced plants and pots too. I'll be back.
