        Great course, great staff, other than an awful male staff member. He verbally abused me and my partner a few times when we were members, seems to do that to a few select people and was very pushy at a tournament I played in, wanting us to hurry and get it over with. Took the cart off us mid round when there was plenty of time to go until the club closed which we paid for as well. Again, the other staff were very encouraging to us to start playing golf as young adults but he completely put me off.

        Great little course, with well maintained greens. Major negative with the guy in the office/bar. Everything is too much trouble for this gruff, curt, rude and unwelcoming guy. If you are prepared to put up with NZ"s answer to Basil Fawlty you will enjoy Otaki if not like me play Levin or Waikanae instead. Update: Returned after 12 months, friendly lady in shop, the course in good nick, greens superb.
