Island Bay Divers

I would 100% recommend to anyone sceptical about getting their Open Water Dive license to do it through Island Bay Divers. Not only do they have the best deal in regards to the pricing of the course (you get 7 extra dives covered by the cost of the course), but the team truly cares about their students, which takes the stress away from messing up when learning new skills. Tim is also extremely knowledgeable and has been beyond helpful in regards to me hiring/buying gear for various underwater exploits. Overall, you really can't get better than Island Bay Divers - they should be your first stop for anything dive-related in Wellington!

Great team making learning to dive an awesome experience. Tim and the team were welcoming, knowledgeable and made the open water course a great experience, and provided everything needed as well as great advice and guidance. Instructor Pablo and his team were awesome, very easy to deal with and really looked after everyone and made the learning fun...looking forward to a bunch more dives with them!

Tim at the Island Bay Dive Shop is amazing!! Ive rented wetsuits a few times from him now and he always goes above and beyond to make sure Im comfortable and have the right gear. Hes very knowledgeable and generous with his time - hes answered all of my (many!) questions about which wetsuit to buy, when I eventually do buy one, no doubt Ill be going to him!! Highly recommend Tim and the dive shop to anyone who is interested in diving/ocean gear, would give 12 stars if I could

Best dive shop in Wellington! Tim was very nice and helpful. It was a shame that I've only attended the first pool section and couldn't finish the course due to relocation. Tim has kindly refunded me the course fee (except Elearning part which was paid to PADI). Would definitely come back to this dive shop to finish the course if I move back to Wellington in the future.

An absolute legend! Tim was very diligent in helping us sort out what dive gear we needed for helping out with Toa the stranded baby orca. Good gear, good fit and a good time!
