Garuda Food Truck - Takeaway & Delivery

We went to the Garuda Food Truck at the Wairarapa Balloon Festival - Night Glow. From waiting in line to order to receiving our food was over an hour. This didn't bother us until we noticed number 36 being called repeatedly for the person to collect their order. We were number 46 and ended up being handed the cold order that was originally prepared for number 36 that had been sitting there for 15/20 minutes. Absolute poor form. Very disappointing.

2023 My partner and I had their Mie Goreng for breakfast at the Harbourside Market. It was an excellent way to start a Sunday! Their Indonesian Mie Goreng is super saucy and savoury. We had tofu puffs and tempeh with ours. The tempeh was creamy and the tofu puffs gave a great chew. It also had cabbage and bok choi. I still highly recommend this Mie Goreng! Its one of my favourite versions in Wellington! As of 2023, they are regularly at the Harbourside Market on Sundays and open from around 9:45/10am 2021 Wonderful hospitality! The owner chatted to us about Indonesian tempeh really fascinating! We devoured the tempeh nuggets and the Mie Goreng. So. Good. Highly recommend their version of the classic noodle dish!

Tastes like real authentic Indonesian food, only place that could facilitate a table of almost 16 people, best to maybe call in as we were luckly it was raining outside we came in and there was seating for us. I got the Mie Goreng chicken noodles / Kaafir Lime chicken and also their friend chicken is so good. Halal chicken, confirmed it's brinks as the supplier

Delicious fresh food with Vegetarian options just as good as the meat dishes! Clean oil makes for tasty deep fried treats and friendly staff make this place our favorite Indonesian spot in the city.

Excellent food and great service. Trying to cut back on rice so ordered the Lamb stew. It was well prepared and arrived at the table very quickly. Best of all, and without asking, they gave me some complimentary steamed veges to go with my meal. The Mie Goring is great and you MUST try the fried chicken.
