Had a bright and cheery visit from Ian expecting a standard flue clean after one year of use. After a quick trip onto the roof, Ian advised that the cowl that came with our fire would likely cause a range of problems which he listed off - little did he know that we had experienced everything that he mentioned. Ian provided the information in 2 minutes what the manufacturer and other people called in to check it the issues were not able to figure out in many frustrating phone calls and visits. I booked these guys for a chimney sweep and inspection. We bought our house a year ago, and have no idea when our chimney/fireplace was last serviced. Turned out, we had a number of things that needed repairing, but as new parents, we didn't have the budget for the repairs on the day. Once the chimney was cleaned, the team left. But within 5 minutes they returned and offered to replace our baffle promate for free! They said they wanted us to be able to use the fireplace until we could afford the rest of the repairs.
