My child was at lollipops for 2 years. The care she received in the infant room was fantastic. A little more lax in the toddler room however otherwise it was ok. Head staff were dismissive and uncommunicative when it came to serious issues.

Lollipops is a great centre and my child loves it in the under 2s room. They have a big lovely clean indoor space for the little ones to explore and a big deck and sandpit outside. Meals are also provided and they get a great range of different meals. Teachers are attentive and give me great detailed updates of my child in Storypark.

Our son has been at Lollipops for nearly two years now and overall we can not fault the team and service Lollipops provides. He is happy and thriving in their care, loves the cooked meals and we get monthly updates of his learning. We absolutely loved the nursery room (until 2 years of age) where each child has a dedicated 'settling teacher' whom does their bottles/snuggles before naps, where it has a lovely sleep room and a handover diary between parent and teachers. Our son built a beautiful bond with his settling teacher and made those bittersweet drop offs so much easier. Once transitionng to the older kids rooms they have a 'profile teacher', even more outdoor areas to explore, merged play with the 3 year old room, the opportunity to have a sleep or free play and slightly more structured learning with things like mat time, music time, arts/crafts etc. The older rooms have a much busier vibe compared to the nursery but no less fun! I have seen Lollipops Paraparaumu take on challenging situations like the COVID pandemic, staff illness/changes and flooding in the street with extreme weather - children's safety was and always is top priority and updates were promptly provided through Storypark. The team are fantastic at phoning you about your child if there is any illness concerns/play accidents that occur during their day. You are aways greeted with a smile and the team were also supportive during Maternity leave (adjusting to drop offs with two little people) and helped with the all important toilet training. Highly reccomend!
