Amazing service with really knowledgeable staff that took their time explaining every step of the way I needed to take and recommend the correct method to transform my drab vinyl textured wallpaper to a fresh painted haven. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Couple of weeks ago, purchased 10L black white, receipt stated black white. Painted for 1/2 day to find they had given us double black white, returned it and got the correct one. We had accepted it was a genuine mistake, however yesterday we purchased a tin of 4L paint at the end of the day, which tipped over on our way home and the lid came off and the paint went everywhere. What is really hard to understand, when you purchase paint or any item do you not expect a secure unit, when you purchase a colour, do you not expect the correct one. How is it a company has the ability these days to have a sign taking no responsibly!!!. If, we were a mechanic's business , do we ask the customer to check all there fittings and bolts before they leave because we take no responsibly. Staff are apologetic and helpful to resolve but the whole concept of Resene of taking no responsibly is difficult to understand in this environment. Highly recommend checking paint colour and lid of the container you have purchased as it appears it is solely YOUR RESPONSIBLITY as a Resene customer.

We bought a house last year and had old paint tins left by the previous owners. So I took them in for recycling. The young girl was brilliant - the lid had stuck fast as it was so old - but she never gave up. A couple of older staff walked by and said that they can't take them for recycling but the young girl whispered to me - don't worry she'll get it open. Working together - we did open it. It's a necessary process just in case something other than old paint is inside. Because of the young girl's attitude I bought more paint and equipment from them. There is another young girl there too - she gave me advice on how to paint the wooden steps in front our house - it came out completely amazing. I'm grateful to the younger staff at Resene - not sure that I would go there without their excellent service attitude where every customer is important.

Great selection of paint, wallpaper, curtains and - most importantly - very good advice.

Incredibly rude and arrogant staff! I was given semi-gloss paint instead of low sheen, without them letting me know. I had used low sheen previously from them for the same purpose after their advice, but when I came back to the store to get the right paint, the low sheen was suddenly not good enough anymore. They also told me that there would not have been a problem, if had returned the next day, but because I came back 5 (!) days after I bought it, it had become a real problem for them.
