La Bella Italia

Had the naked special pizza with prosciutto and burrata cheese which was delicious and fresh. Great coffee too. Popular place, with a good selection of food, kitchenware and wine for sale.

It's been a while since I've dined at Bella as it tends to be hit and miss. We had a table of 6 booked for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was busy as usual but our friendly young waiter was very attentive. 3 of the party had steaks ...cooked to perfection...2 had pasta dishes ...which are quite large portions...and I had the crepes which were delicious but needed a vegetable component. We ordered a bottle of prosecco which was opened by the wine waiter but then he proceeded to leave the bottle on the table for us to do the pour! I enquired if he was going to pour our wines, as he was called away, and luckily for us he came back. 2 of us ordered an affogato with a liqueur and one diner ordered the lemon mousse. Desserts were satisfactory. As it was a busy service Antonio was helping out but he seemed a bit offhand when we came to pay.
