Kawakawa Station Purple Hut

Best 3 day walk you can find. 5 stars can't express the value for money. Food was prepared for all meals and restaurant quality. All 3 huts were impeccably clean and modern decor. Vintage cottage feel. The first day is about 7 hours of walking and about 6km uphill. Second day is all Bush track but hard going off camber , day 3 is very easy and a great way to end . Impressive countryside, off grid but they take all your bags ( and booze) so you just need to walk . Don't pack snacks there is so much amazing High quality food. You will not be disappointed .fresh clean towels ready at every hut. You need a sleeping bag . Organize a group of 8 and you get it all to yourself . If you over 65 and unfit this may be too hard .. Fantastic farm and family running an impressive walking tour. Thanks a million for having us girls this weekend .
