Waimeha Camping Village

What a cracker place with everything you need! So close to a handful of the Wairarapa's hidden gems so exploring is the top of the list every day. Camp sites, powered, non-powered, cabins and plenty of space so you're not on top of each other. The facilities (bathrooms, showers, kitchen) are all really nicely kept and extremely tidy. We arrived relatively unexpectedly and there was space for us. The campground had a beautiful view over the cook strait regardless of the weather - calm, sweet surf and even mezmirising on a windy day. The Bar/Restaurant was cosy and everyting you want from a country local (beer - tick). The food is delicious and depending on what's locally sourced the menu changes which is awesome and always guaranteed to be fresh. JP is a bloody good host. Very accommodating and always up for a good yarn and a laugh. We'll be back!
