        I nearly died after being asked to walk in the middle of winter/night from a respite Emerge runs in Upper Hutt to Lower Hutt hospital to get the medication that Broadway respite ( managed by Emerge ) refused to release to me ( illegally). I nearly died as I had only 8 % kidney function after an attempt at self destruction ( injection of paint thinners). I am amazed I survived.

        Referral from an authorized agency is required for a one week stay up to three times per year. There are three rooms and dinner is cooked by staff. Staff are also always present. There is a dairy round the corner and a cafe.

        Nikki from lower hutt emerge lied to me and said that my rent refund will have to be sent back to msd even tho it came out of my pay so I rung emerge lower hutt to find out she lied and it should have been sent to me
