Had to replace 3 really old skylights on our new house. Skylight specialists worked in with our roofers, showed up when they said they would and got the job done. I know the industry is under pressure in the current environment but the team got us finished at a busy time of year and with bad weather in the lead up. One of the directors was even there helping as a labourer! Oh, and the price seemed pretty reasonable considering other quotes we got. Any building job like this is stressful and expensive, but we are stoked with the end result and would recommend Skylight Specialists.

This company is saying " they ordered material and that we changed our order" only after I posted a truthful review about our poor experience- yet they came to quote, gave us a price then many, many months later after several calls and emails, came back to inspect saying they needed to be sure of the exact measurements before ordering the materials, then promptly changed the original quote with a massive increase- yet the actual skylight hole size had not changed one iota! They then agreed to refund our deposit in full when we cancelled before they ordered their materials, but for some reason then decided to keep half of our large deposit. So we paid a large amount of money purely for their bad service and 2 short 10 minute visits for quotes and we are less than 8 km away! The Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act have been put in place so these sort of occurrences are limited, yet this sort of conduct still exists which is a shame! I am sure there have been many happy clients, but on this occasion it was less than satisfactory given that we were told the deposit would be refunded in full as you would expect.

Cancelled skylight due to length of time to come and do the work + were not happy about the sudden large increase in original quoted price. After agreeing to refund our deposit they then deducted half (over $300) telling us it was because they came to quote for the job.There was nowhere in their terms and conditions that said they would keep our deposit if we chose not to go ahead. Very disappointed at such an unfair trading practice and unprofessional conduct!!
