        Such a tranquil and serene location with many precious memories of the people there who helped shape Wainuiomata from farmlands and swamp into a thriving suburbs. X TC

        A lesser-known place to start and end a day tramp in the Southern Remutakas. It has a carpark, a stream, shaded seating, proximity to the tracks, a large grassed recreational area, and even a public lavatory although this was locked when we were there. The graves are an un-looked for but remarkably interesting adjunct to outdoor recreation.
