Hubby and i wanted a place with a view, local and somewhere we havent been before. Gear was definitly that place. Beautiful views, loved the homely feeling of the cafe and the layout. The food was exceptional, i got the homestead breakfast and hubby had the eggs bene. Both tasted amazing, coffee was delicious too. Staff made us feel welcome and checked if we needed anything else during our meal. We will definitly be back on our next kid free day. Looking forward to spending some summer days here.

Oh my the food and presentation of the food was awesome. Absolutely incredible setting. Loved the old tables. Needed a little more attention paid to cleaning. Our table had stuff left on it,green salad on the windowsill and a chicken bone on the floor.

Sitting near the counter on a Sunday morning, staff seemed slightly chaotic, however the duty manager seemed to be dealing with any issues well. As a single diner, my eggs bene arrived quickly, was hot and delicious, with perfectly poached eggs. Coffee was decent. I like to test out places myself before bringing others, and I would bring the parents here, probably before the rush started. Very good!
