I'd heard the company had a good reputation, which is why I chose to engage with them. But unfortunately I didn't find this to be the case. We were told by Nicola after visiting the showroom on 1st December that the carpet and underlay we wanted was in stock, and that there was still availability for a December installation before Christmas (which we wanted as we were keen to cover the bare floorboards and be warm over the winter). But when we tried communicating our carpet and underlay choice (as requested)together with the room references they'd provided to us by email on their quotationour calls, messages and emails were ignored by their representative (Cassandra). After still not hearing anything back from them by mid March, I decided to bring the matter to the owners attention (Malcolm). He apologised (quite rightly), stating the replied emails I'd sent were found in their waste bin, and that Cassandra had no record of me calling her. For the benefit of doubt, I sent my phone records showing the calls I'd made, and highlighted the ones where I'd left voicemails. From experience, if this is how a company behaves before they've been paid, it can be an indication of how they might behave after, if something goes wrong. I've been in business for 34 years. And with the technology available today to even a sole trader, there's no excuse for not returning missed calls, not responding to emails, and letting a first-time customer down like this. If any of my staff had let our customers down like this I'd request they call the customer, apologise, and make it right. In other words: win the business back, not hide. Not good. Beware.
