Bealey Hotel

We recently stayed at the Bealey Hotel in the spa room and it was perfect. We enjoyed being able to wander up to the hotel to have dinner and drinks and roll back down the hill to our accommodation. The food was yummy and can highly reccommend the lava cake for dessert. The spa was clean and it was magic being able to hop in and look at the stars and the moonlight on the river.

Location was excellent we attended my grandmothers 86th birthday here and it was a perfect spot to meet family from the coast and Canterbury region. The service from the staff was a bit poor, we felt pushed to order our meals, and the attitude from the staff when delivering our meal was a bit rude even tho every meal had a name to go with it there was still confusion. Food & drinks: Food was excellent I had the Hoki fish with chips and salad and I couldnt fault it. However my coke and raspberry was flat a bit disappointing.

Rooms: The view stood out the most. Looking out of the windows down the river valley and the mountains all from a super comfortable room Nearby activities: Tramping, fishing, exploring the amazing mountainous location Food & drinks: Great beer selection on tap and cocktails. Great food, we got the burgers and were made from good quality ingredients at a reasonable price
